Our Mission
The Knoxville Area Community Theatre (K-ACT) is a non-profit service organization designed to enhance the entertainment capacity, artistic quality and volunteer opportunities of our community.
Our Organization
Knoxville Area Community Theatre (K-ACT) was organized in 1983 through the efforts of a small group of people with a mutual interest in the dramatic arts. K-ACT's Constitution and By-Laws were developed in 1984 (amended in 1985) and Articles of Incorporation were enacted in 1985. As such, K-ACT is officially and legally tax-exempt; consequently, contributions to K-ACT are tax-deductible.
Our Productions
Our productions are performed at the VA Medical Center Auditorium through the courtesy of the VA Medical Center. In return we are able to have a special performance for the veterans and recreation therapy staff.
K-ACT is available to speak about our organization to your club or organization members. We are also available to perform mini-shows or "radio" shows for organizations in need of entertainment at meetings or banquets. Contact info@k-act.org for pricing and availability.
